Deemed & Private Medical Colleges in India for MBBS Direct Admission

NRI & Management seats are available in private & deemed colleges.


Students options for such seats have to pay a higher tuition fee compare to students joining via merit.


Qualifying NEET exam is easier but scoring 550+ marks in NEET is nearly impossible for students.


Many students appear & qualify NEET for admission under NRI & Management quota seats.



MBBS Admission through Management Quota

To get direct admission in MBBS you must have to follow the below process:


Step #1 Apply for the NEET UG Entrance exam:

Direct admission

(A) NEET exam is compulsory for MBBS admission through NRI or management quota.


(B) You must register for the NEET UG exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA)


(C) NRI, PIO, OCI & Foreign national students have to participate in the NEET exam.


Step #2 Qualify the NEET UG entrance exam:


(A) Just appearing for the NEET exam, won’t make you eligible for MBBS admission.


(B) You also have to pass the exam by scoring more than 50% of the cut-off score.


* The NEET Cut-off score varies between 115 – 135 out of 720 marks.


Therefore you must score more than the expected cut-off score for MBBS NRI or Management quota admission.


Step #3 Register for the counselling:

(A) Counselling is mandatory for the allotment of MBBS seats in India.


(B) You must have to register for the counselling even for NRI or Management seats.


(C) Apply for online medical counselling.


Medical Counselling Committee and State medical authorities conduct counselling for Private medical colleges .


Step #4 College Choice filling:


Counseling is done for allotment of seats as per the NEET All India Rank.


You have to fill the college choices and the respective authorities will allot the seats.


The seat allotted is based on the outcome of choices filled and NEET UG rank.


Therefore you must be very careful while choosing the college options.


You must choose NRI or Management seat options if your NEET rank is low.


Step #5 Download the allotment letter:


Counseling results are announced after the college choice filling is over.


If you have given the options as per your rank, you might get a seat.


You can download the provisional allotment letter provided by the counseling authorities.


Step #6 Reporting to the allotted medical college:


You must have to report to the respective medical colleges where you have been allotted a seat.


At the time of reporting, you must have to pay the college fee and submit the essential documents to confirm your seat.


10-15 days is provided by the counseling authorities to report to the respective colleges.


If you fail to report to the colleges, your allotted seat will be canceled.


MBBS Admission Process

NRI & management quota MBBS seats can be joined through NEET rank based counseling.


3 rounds of counseling are conducted for NRI & Management seats allotment on the basis of NEET rank.
